bitdefender won't let me open links to sites from emails

is there a simple HELP anything? since bitdefender has been installed I can't access any website links from emails and sometimes when I try to go a site from search engine the only thing that happens is what I typed in, then little dots moving, and a blank page comes up.......nada after that.....

This can be due to numerous reason

1) Bitdefender might actually block the link thinking it might be malicious/ phishing.

2) The website may be down (check if website is up by entering the website domain on https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/

3) Maybe the website may be down for maintenance

Well, the best thing is try and do additional checks :

1) Check the link on https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url if any vendor detects the link, if it does then it is surely malicious/ phishing

2) Try disabling the real time protection of bitdefender and all the other features (make sure before doing this you have already checked the link on virustotal to see that no other vendor detects the link) and then try to open the link, if it opens then maybe bitdefender is blocking it.
