BIOS redirected to IPv4 sign in for Windows PC

Hello all,
The other day my computer stopped functioning(while away from an internet connection (I started it normally, temporarily went into sleep mode, then upon startup it stopped working with the details below).
When I had a chance to investigate, the BIOS was pointing to a IPv4 login address. I tried to re-install windows and this failed each time.
Today, I went to the store which sold it, and they looked at it (and fixed it for me for free - PLE Computers Awesome).
They mentioned they could see that there was a IPv4 setting that had been used for booting, and that the main drive was setup as RAID (which explains the Windows startup fail).
In addition, various accounts have been recently accessed and have records for those (Facebook was one). As such I believe my computer was being accessed remotely and the drive set to RAID to stop the boot process from continuing the standard way. It only became apparent when I was disconnected from an internet connection.
Can Bitdefender provide an update that warns a user when windows is being accessed externally or BIOS has been changed to this type of state?
