Using 'Safe Files' with folders on external drives

Options

Hi,

Really like the look of the Safe Files feature, however I keep all the photos, docs, on an external drive.

When I click on 'Protected Files' and + to add more locations, all the folders on the G-Drive are greyed out.

Is this not possible. The drive is viewable by the mac, so I'm assuming it's not the drive permissions?

Thank you to Customer Care for answering this question. Details below for others looking for this information.

Hopefully external drive will be added in the future.

    > Unfortunately, external drives, system and app files cannot be added to the Safe Files list.

By default, the following folders are protected:

    Users/myname/Desktop

    Users/myname/Documents

    Users/myname/Downloads

    Users/myname/Pictures

Note: Custom folders can be protected only for current users as those are considered the most vulnerable locations.
