SPYWARE DETECTION AND REMOVAL
hello,
been trying to search for a simple answer. I think my phone was installed with spyware by my ex.I installed bitdefender last night. I just wanted to make sure.. I understand that it protects my phone from incoming attacks, but how about previously installed spyware? Would it be able to detect and remove spyware on my phone, particularly viber messenger application? that was my intetion of buying bitdefender. thank you in advance for clarifying.

Any android antivirus will protect you against 2 things
1) Malicious Website/ Phishing Website Blocking
2) Malware Applications (whether installed or whether the setup of the application is present on the android device)
*Some of the android antivirus vendors also provide anti theft.
Viber in itself is a genuine application, so you need to be careful not to click on any suspicious link you receive via viber messenger, since not every antivirus can detect everything.
