How can I stop Password Manager from automatically opening when I open Google website?

Click on the Password Manager icon, then go to "Settings" and tick the "Disable login tab on startup" option shown in the screenshot below:

I have clicked on "Disable login tab on startup" in settings in Chrome. The new tab still appears every time I open Chrome. This appears to be a bug.

Hello, I am facing the same issue. Is it possible to avoid the password manager to open a new page when starting chrome please?

This is a known issue and is still pending approval from Apple regarding the Safari extension of PM. The fix will be implemented when that approval is granted.

Hi,

Yes, this will be fixed with the upcoming release and the developers are pushing to deploy it by the end of the month. There are no further updates at this time, but the feature is ready and waiting to make its way into the product.
