I am constantly getting the message "Suspicious connection blocked" when going through my email. I have selected the option under Email Protection to "Don't scan emails", but it hasn't made any difference. Is there a solution to this issue?

The notification comes from theĀ Online Threat Prevention module located in the Privacy tab of your Bitdefender product. In the SettingsĀ tab of this module, you will find a feature called Encrypted web scan. But I don't recommend you to disable it.
Notifications are an important tool in monitoring and managing your Bitdefender protection.
