Can't add DropBox files/folders to Protected Files?

DropBox v142.4.4197 (hard drive connected via USB to MacBook, synced to cloud)

Hello,

I just downloaded and installed a Trial Version of BItDefender For Mac.

Via the Protection menu, Anti-Ransomware, Safe Files, Protected files ... I can't add ANY DropBox folders? EVERYTHING on my DropBox hard drive is greyed out?
