PDF viewer keeps changing
I have Firefox set to be my default PDF viewer. The PDF creation software I have installed is called foxit. Something in my system keeps changing the default PDF viewer from Firefox back to Foxit. I have reached out to Foxit support, and they told me to contact support for my security software.
Does bitdefender change the default PDF viewer? Or have the ability to do that? I would ask support, but bitdefenders support is absolute garbage.

Bitdefender has nothing to do with the change of your default PDF viewer.
You will have to contact either foxit support (https://kb.foxitsoftware.com/hc/en-us), which you did or contact mozilla firefox support (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/) related to this.
There is nothing wrong from bitdefender end.

Hello.
I don't think that your issue is somehow connected to your Bitdefender product.
In my signature, you can see my specs for my laptop.
Also, i use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC v 2020.012.20043 for viewing and creating PDF files.
For troubleshooting your case, first in Mozilla Firefox preferences i set PDF files to be opened in Mozilla Firefox:
Then, i clicked on this link:
http://slvesnik.com.mk/Issues/50a79c7c2b5f47e29439c95bcc040999.pdf
which is a PDF file and i got this:
meaning that the file was opened in Mozilla Firefox.
Next, on my desktop i have a PDF file called "Test". I right-clicked on the file and set Mozilla Firefox as default application to open all .pdf files:
After double clicking the "Test.pdf" file on my dekstop, the file was opened in Mozilla Firefox:
Conclusion: When in Mozilla Firefox preferences PDF files are set to be opened in Mozilla Firefox, they will open in Mozilla Firefox, no matter Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is already installed on my laptop. Also, when Mozilla Firefox is set as default application to open all .pdf files, they will open in Mozilla Firefox, no matter Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is already installed on my laptop.
Regards.
P.S. Maybe someone else. like @Alexandru_BD and @Mike_BD, have other opinion on your problem.
