A lot of websites blocked when using VPN

It's few days that I find this new strange behaviour: when vpn is connected, it's impossible to use multiple websites. I changed server location several times but nothing changes.

To check, while VPN connected, I made also the ping control using cmd... they're all blocked. If I disconnect the VPN, they normally work. Never happened before. The solution can't be the split tunneling otherwise the vpn loses his purpose.

So, what can it be the problem? And, most of all, the solution? Thanks.

    Since you already did the Step 1 from this article:

    and Step 2 - Split tunneling is not an option for you, i would recommend do the following:

    First, take screenshot(s) of the issue,

    create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

    create a connectivity log file, by following these steps:

    Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

    with short description of the issue.

    After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

    Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created in the first step.

    Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

    Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

  • Having the same issue. Does anyone have a fix for this problem other than adding multiple url's to bypass the VPN? It is very frustrating to have to disconnect VPN every time you want to shop online.

  • Same with me, outgoing e-mail was rejected , dialoog box was saying “smtp error , wrong password etc”. I stopped VPN , did a restart and problem was solved.

    There is a known issue where certain websites/apps don't work with VPN or split tunneling doesn't work, for example: yportfolio.umm.edu, rbfcu.org, etc.

    You should contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

    You should provide the website URL or the app name for the engineers to add to the list and investigate.

  • I have the same problem on my Iphone and it’s driving me crazy. I delete the app and then reinstall it again. Then it works for about one day and then again the same problem. And I want a simple solution, not the one mentioned here with all these steps. I think it is absolutely not customer friendly! Regards, Astrid
