Why is one of my back-ups failing?

From early afternoon today 07.07.2022 I have received this message:

Time Machine couldn’t complete the backup to “Back-up 3”

“/Library/Application Support/Bitdefender/avformac/Cache/tmp.cache_1737629323” could not be backed up.

I'm running macOS Monterey 12.4 and Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac 9.0.5.5, backing up to a Western Digital Elements.

My back-ups to a Seagate portable hard drive are unaffected.

    Hello.

    First, take screenshot(s) of the issue

    and create a log file on your MacOS device using BDProfiler, by following these steps:

    Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

    with short description of the issue.

    After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

    Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.

    Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

    Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

    It's quite possible that the file remained in use somehow. Try restarting your Mac first and see if it makes any difference. If the issue persists, it will be necessary for the engineers to have a closer look at the device and you can follow the steps described by Gjoksi above, to get in touch with the Support Teams.
