Bitdefender not allowing website access to Inland Revenue

How do I get Bitdefender to allow me access to Inland Revenue. I am a Bookkeeper and require access to Inland Revenue which I have had for many years. Suddenly Bitdefender will not allow me access to services in my Inland Revenue Login.

Website - https://myir.ird.govt.nz/ will let me login but I cannot access any services, the screen locks up. I can access with no problems on another computer that does not have Bitdefender. Do I need to uninstall Bitdefender?

    Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

    with short description of the issue.

    After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

    Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created in the first step.

    Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

    Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

  • Hi Gjoksi, thanks for your assistance. I uninstalled Bitdefender VPN (this was a new addition to my Bitdefender package) and all works well now. Asking Bitdefender for a refund of fees paid as this product does not work for me.

  • @Ange should you reconsider reinstalling the VPN, please note that you should be able to access the website in question by using the Split Tunneling feature, if you do not require an encrypted connection. This allows you to route any website outside the VPN connection, to access the Internet directly. More information can be found here:

    There is also a chance that the website has implemented a system to detect VPNs and doesn't not load properly or displays errors if the Internet connection is filtered through a VPN. This means that no matter the VPN provider, you will encounter the same connectivity issue.
