im trying to cancel my subscription having a hard time getting somebodey. this outfit is worst for everything.

Just to add to my previous comment:
You can stop the auto-renewal for the Bitdefender subscription, by following these steps:

Just follow the steps as described in Method 1, because some users in the past reported that the steps from Method 2 didn't stop the auto-renewal.
From my personal experience, Method 1 did and still does the job for stopping the auto-renewal.

i sent email for refund did not get ans. back yet. but thank you for the help, iwonder why it is so hard to get help from them, that is way i want to leave. thanks for helping me.

I can not open bitdefender to scan a DVD. Bitdefender will not open at all. I have Win7, bitdefender total security appears to be installed. Never had a problem before today.
When I click on the red bitdefender icon, or right click on the icon and select Open, this pops up:
"Communication with bitdefender Security Service failed to be initiated.
To retry connection, please click the button below."
I can not find a phone number or email address for bitdefender and have found no way to open a chat.
Please help!

I an trying to cancel auto renewal and have emailed twice. no response. on line it claims live chat 24/7 but I logged in and looked all over - can not find any live chat, only message that their phone number isn't working. seems bogus for muli-national company…….

Make sure all extensions in your web browser are disabled, especially ad blockers and privacy blockers, as they can block chat windows from popping up.
As for the phone number
Regarding email, it takes a maximum of 72 hours for the Bitdefender support team to reply, excluding weekends, as there are other tickets from different customers that also need to be handled. Tickets are resolved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hi @ptrex, if you raised a ticket already, the Support teams will respond as soon as possible. They always do. Emailing twice won't help speed up things, on the contrary. If you open multiple tickets this doubles the work and may delay the resolution..

I am TRYING to unsubscribe to these BS ads on yahoo and some let me unsubscribe through the link posted on their site but recently Bit Finder has blocked my attempts to unsubscribe.

I hate this program, it is screwed up, they keep renewing it, I have no one to talk to. no telephone number to contact for help. How do you contact a live person for help. my account is screwed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am pissed beyond belief. I have been working on this crap for over 2 hrs. and still screwed up
I will be looking for a new security system because this sucks.,

I’m having the same exact issue. No where did I ever sign up for auto renewal. My payment information isn’t even listed on the subscription section of my account. I have sent multiple emails and they refuse to refund my money.

If you scroll up on this thread you will find the contact phone numbers for Support. Otherwise, you can use this link for all available contact channels:
State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach Bitdefender Support.

The Bitdefender security solutions come with an automatic renewal feature that allows you to conveniently retain your protection when your Bitdefender subscription expires, without having to go through all the motions of manually renewing your cyber-security solution. Essentially, it's a subscription-based service.
But you can disable this option anytime. If you can provide me with your case number in a private message, I can have a look.

Are you trying to unsubscribe to a newsletter, or what exacly? You click on 'unsubscribe' in an email, then you are being redirected to a website which is being blocked by the antivirus? Kindly elaborate, as it's unclear what's happening there..
