How to ensure I'm safe from a malicious website
Hi all,
I am trying to figure out if I'm safe after I opened a website (explanation below). Basically I typed the website address on Chrome, it opened, no massages from bitdefender popped up but the website closed and I found no record of blocking, just apps scanned in the bitdefender central.
The story is this: I bought a Japanese pruner on Amazon, I received a fake knock-off Chinese one that came from China, and on the product package there was a non suspicious looking website address. I had the bad idea of going into their website to look after gardening tools just to see if it was a real store. The link was clearly very fake, visually poluted, full of blinking color changing letters with adult content. This doesn't look good at all to my smartphone's safety.
How can I make sure no automatic/silent downloads were performed into my device? Every protection is turned on, on my bitdefender app.
Thank you very much in advance,
Rene

Hello.
Only the malware researchers at Bitdefender Labs can give you the answer if that particular website is safe or not.
So, you should report the URL(s) as false negative to Bitdefender Labs here:

Also, you can contact Bitdefender Mobile Support by e-mail:
bms@bitdefender.com
Regards.

Hi @Rene_MP Rene :)
As long as you didn't download anything from the website, you're probably fine. I know you don't want to hear probably, but absolutely, but run a manual scan, and delete your Chrome history/clear browsing data. Then follow @Gjoksi advice of submitting the website to the BD labs if you still have it. It would give you better peace of mind in what they report back, and also for their possibly adding it to a BD blocked webpage list.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, Gjoksi.
The link you provided isn't opening, I'll send and email to bms@bitdefender.com explaining the issue and trying to have peace of mind with their support. I can't ensure that site I opened is a false positive, like I said, bitdefender didn't seem to have reacted to it nor I can trace if the site was blocked to avoid any malware to be installed in my device.
Thank you,
Rene

You're welcome :) For now, don't worry about the link. You can explain it to support, and let them guide you from here.
