    Hello.

You should report the .exe file(s) as false positive to Bitdefender Labs here:

Also, you could do the following steps:

First, take screenshot(s) of the issue,

create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

    and

create a log file on your Windows device using BDsysLog, by following these steps:

Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

with short description of the issue.

After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created in the first step.

Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

    Regards.

  • Same thing happening to me also. At first Bitdefender was blocking the intel tuning extreme.exe file from running. So I whitelisted the exe file and bitdefender is now saying DotNet tried to load a malicious resource detected as Gen:Variant.Barys.32471 and was blocked. I sent false positive in for analysis but havent heard anything back yet. 2 days ago. LOL I was seriously thinking about uninstalling BD.

    1. My subscription end few weeks.
    2. I need intel extreme tuning utility to run. My PC runs hot. I have a badly designed case.
  • I have the exact same issue as slufoot69. Updated just minutes ago. Following a reboot same message.

I uninstalled and downloaded a fresh copy of intel extreme tuning. Same result.

Did a system scan - no detections.

Anyone want to chime in on this one. Obviously this is a false positive.

  • Just a note...

This behavior started a few days ago for me.

  • Hello everyone,

The detection was reported to our malware researchers and following their investigation, it will be soon removed with the next update.

    Thank you for reporting this.
