Can you change any other settings in the product? Have you previously used a password to protect the antivirus settings? Once a password is set, anyone trying to change the Bitdefender settings will first have to provide the password. Are you prompted to enter a password, or the settings just appear locked for no obvious reason?
If the settings are not password protected, try to repair Bitdefender by following the steps from the first article provided by @Gjoksi above and let us know how it goes.
