BD Internet Security Firewall Not Enabled On First Boot And Restart Enables Firewall. Any Help?
BD Internet Security installed about a week now.(Win10)
Last day or so I notice Win 10 Network Folder is blank, not showing computers or printers etc. I also notice firewall settings in BD is not showing any networks (I'm connected Ethernet) - The connected drop down is blank also and next to the network type it just says 'IDS'
I restart and everything is back to normal. This behavior is the same from booing t from off not a restart.
In notifications, it indicates firewall status has changed and that it has been enabled.
I have two compters side by side (one desktop and one laptop) with BD installed with same BD settings. The desktop does not exhibit this behavior.
Thank you for any insights on this one.
Best regards.

Hello.
-- STEP 1 --
Repair Bitdefender, by following these steps:
-- STEP 2 --
If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:
It will completely remove the program.
Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account and see if the issue has been solved, as reinstalling the program usually solves the issues.
-- STEP 3 --
If the instructions from Step 2 didn't help, follow the instructions in this step.
First, take screenshot(s) of the issue
and create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:
Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:
with short description of the issue.
After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.
Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.
Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.
Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.
Regards.

Hello @freespeaker,
This behaviour could be related to the Base Filtering Engine, a Windows service required by the BD Firewall.
My advice would also be to get in touch with the engineers for a more in-depth troubleshooting.
Let us know how it goes.

Hello @Gjoksi ,
So far Step #1 has resolved the issue - Thank you
It was very helpful to know that a repair protocol is available for BD as it alleviates the need of a complete uninstall that removes all settings. The repair is quick and easy and had me up and running in minutes.
Also, helpful to learn of the BD Uninstall tool if I ever that is necessary.
Best regards
