New Bitdefender Update Started Lagging Apex Legend And Couple Other Games. Any Help?

After installing the new bitdefender update, it started lagging Apex Legend and couple other games I play that require online connection.

For Apex legend, I have status enable and I noticed ping and the logo for network connection logo popping up which I believe the new update is either scanning all network packet which results in lag.

The lag doesn't exist if I don't move the mouse but as soon I do, it happens.

After uninstalling bitdefender, it resolve the issue. My friend experience the same issue as well.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Affecting both Windows 10 and Windows 11

This is a known issue and may be along the same line as the members who were having issues with their games (FPS) and see if adding Apex Legend into the Advanced Threat Defense exception helps. Click on View Post to see the thread.

UPDATE: This is fixed since last evening, confirmed for Call of Duty and Wildhearts.

May I kindly ask everyone to test the games with ATD enabled and let us know your findings?

Yesterday I uninstalled Bitdefender and realized that my issues with Overwatch 2 gameplay disappeared instantly.

Prior uninstallation I tried to disable all protections inside Bitdefender. Symptoms were mainly ~0.5 second delay even though my latency was very low and no packet loss -> enemy players choppy movement / like mikro teleporting around and my projectiles were flying through them without registering the hit. in replay (from enemy perspective) I was able to recognize that I am shooting in roughly 45 degrees away from enemy player. I was using before Eset NOD32 (no issues) and now Microsoft Defender (no issues).

I've been suffering this since OW 2 release. (my son experienced similar in Valorant)...
