Trying to import passwords from chrome, but there is no menu on the side of password manager to do so.

So you're not seeing the 3 bars at the top, which will bring you into settings to the import option?
If not, try uninstalling the app from Extensions, then reinstalling it. I promoted you to Level 2, so that you can post an image to help us better understand what you may be seeing on your end, if needed.
