What is the expected time for Antivirus for Mac to update to new version?

Good morning! Still in my 30 day trial period. AV for Mac version 9.4.0.8 seems to be running well. About a week ago, users reported starting to get 9.4.1.4, and @Alexandru_BD posted release notes for this new version 24 hours ago.

I understand that there is a graduated rollout period for new updates, and am wondering what the longest time I should expect to wait to see the new version pushed to my device (iMac M3 running Sonoma 14.1.2). Am getting regular definition updates 1-2x per day.

The regular updates you receive might be the malware database updates, as they occur by default every hour.

The latest version, 9.4.1.4, was released on November 28, 2023. While everyone will eventually receive the upgrade, there is no specific timeframe for its rollout.

The rollout is progressive, with update service on all supported macOS versions, however it's difficult to estimate exactly how long it will take for the rollout to be completed. But if everything goes smoothly, it should not take very long.
