Hi frizzee,
Welcome on Bitdefender forum!
Do you have a desktop computer ? A mobile?
Do you mean you cannot have the VPN activated? The usual gimmick is to uninstall then reinstall.
Here is the FAQ link to VPN.
Then if you meant you cannot have access to the site with the activated VPN, it is a different issue!
With Bitdefender Premium, you change the source/country to mislead the site that blocks your actual VPN IP Address; Go to the parameters in Bitdefender VPN and click on another country.
Warning, some sites are hard to deceive!
Regards,
L.

Hello @frizzee,
I think there is too little information to be able to pronounce ourselves here. Generally speaking, the articles shared above might help, but we need to know exactly what are the symptoms, what error messages are shown (if any), what operating system are you using, what VPN version, if the connectivity issue manifests itself for all servers or just specific ones, if it happens on multiple networks, etc.
To begin with, here are a few common causes for Bitdefender VPN connectivity issues (again, it's a general checklist):
- No Internet – Make sure your device is connected to the Internet with a fast and stable connection.
- Firewall – Check that your firewall isn’t blocking the VPN. If you’re not sure, look in your router’s manual, contact the manufacturer or your Internet provider.
- Another VPN or Proxy – If you’re running another VPN or Proxy, disable it when trying to connect.
- Public Wi-Fi (like in a hotel, school, or office) – Contact the network administrator to see if they can change the firewall settings and allow the VPN connection.
- Port 443 is blocked – Port 443 UDP must be open for Bitdefender VPN to work.
If you’ve already checked the above reasons why Bitdefender VPN isn’t usually working, you can dive into the troubleshooting articles above and provide us with more details that could help us help you.

I had a similar issue with VPN disconnecting. This happened due to a misconfiguration where there is more than one DHCP server causing two networks to exist separately, so sometimes it connected and sometimes it was not, depending on the order which the network DHCP servers were switched on. During the phase which the VPN was able to connect, it belonged to the same base network.
