Is Premium VPN compatible with Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max Wifi 6E ?

I am attempting to stream Canadian networks (E.g. TSN, CTV, Global) to my televisions in Phoenix, AZ

Can I download Premium VPN to a Fire TV Stick and just stream directly to the stick as one of my permitted devices ?

Or, must I stream to another device (e.g. MacBook) with Premium VPN downloaded on that device and then "Cast" the streamed content to the Fire TV Stick ?

Or, must I stream to another device (e.g. MacBook) with Premium VPN downloaded on that device and then "Cast" the streamed content to the Fire TV Stick ? - This could be a workaround, I guess you can try and see if it works. You could also connect the VPN on the Macbook, then create a hotspot and connect the smart TV to it, then access the streaming platforms. So, basically if you have the VPN enabled and you share that connection, the devices that connect to it will also benefit from encrypted traffic and you should be able to access geo-restricted content using them.
