Installing Minecraft Launcher crash with code 80070490
I have a new Lenovo laptop and installed Bit Defender.
I have tried to install Minecraft for my son but keep on getting the error code 80070490.
Is it possible this is somehow related to Bit Defender being installed?
thx

The error code 80070490 you’re encountering during Minecraft installation is a common issue with Windows Store, not specifically related to Bitdefender. This error can occur due to various reasons such as issues with Windows Update, system file corruption, or problems with the store cache.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
1) Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/fix-problems-with-apps-from-microsoft-store-93ed0bcf-9c12-3df6-6dda-92ec5d0415ac OR https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/windows_store_app_troubleshooter_11.html)
2) Reset Windows Store Cache: Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type WSReset.exe, and press Enter. This will clear the cache of the Windows Store.
3) Check for Windows Updates (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-windows-3c5ae7fc-9fb6-9af1-1984-b5e0412c556a)
If you have Bitdefender installed, it’s also a good idea to check if it’s blocking Minecraft. You can do this by adding an exception for Minecraft in Bit Defender’s settings. Here’s how:
1) Temporarily disable Bitdefender Protection: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/28557/
2) Set exclusions in Bitdefender Antivirus: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/13427/
3) Set exclusions in Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense:https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2393/
4) Re-enable real-time protection in Bitdefender
