Can't Open Bd

I can't open my BD,and I'm now getting the following massage.


c:/program files/bit defender 2010/bdagent.exe "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."


how can I fix it.

    This is a know problem with Microsoft's C++ Redistributables, not with BD. Try the solution in this topic and then reinstall BD (you didn't say if you were using Antivirus Pro, Internet Security or Total Security so the product download links in that topic may not be the right ones for you). You also didn't state which OS you are using - XP, Vista or Win7.

    Try to run "Microsoft's C++ Redistributable 2008" from the folder


    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\BitDefender\SetupInformation\{06FC2BC7-5855-4EF9-AFE9-E1EFCBF00B78}\dependencies\vcredist2008x86.exe"

    This folder may have different name in your System.
