Real Time Protection

I have just purchased and installed bitdefender 2011 internet security. On the security status it flags up in red that the real time security is not enabled. When I click fix it comes up failed, but when I go to option the real time box is ticked an enabled. I am running windows 7 64 bit and my computer says it cannot find any anti-virus? I hope I am not to regret going back to bitdefender as my old anti-virus ran out today!

    What "old" antivirus product did you have installed and MOST importantly, how did you remove/uninstall it before installing BD?


    The most common cause of the problem you describe is a conflict between BD and leftover fragments of another antivirus product, so we need to make sure the old product was completely removed.
