On-access Scanning Is Disabled

I am getting an error displaying in the "There are critical issues to fix" dialogue.

"On-access scanning is disabled"

When I select FIX, it never fixes.

How do I solve this?

Windows XP SP3 HOME 32Bit(Fresh Install)

Fresh BD Internet Security 2012 Install.

I'm having the exact same problem on a fresh install of W7 Home Premium/BD Total Security 2012.

Fix fails because the on-access scanning is set to customised and its modify setting will not let you amend (i.e. click items to add to the customised scan). It is not possible to break out of this custom scan setting either.

I also note that BD anti spyware module is also turned off.

I bought BD as a treat, having always used free AV & Firewalls. Can this be fixed please?

I'll send my files this evening after work.

  • I experienced the exact issue – after much playing with the settings to no avail – I rebooted the machine and this solved the problem – 24 hours later and many reboots the settings have stuck – YMMV and I’m keeping my fingers crossed ...
