Bit Defender Total Security 2014 Says Invalid License

Hi Team,


I have purchased BIT DEFENDER TOTAL SECURITY 2014 recently and it is working good till today. But suddenly it is saying license is invalid though it displayed 365 days till yesterday.


This is my first ever subscription with bit defender and it's like this. Please reply me as soon as possible.

    I have purchased from ebay.in


    Yes I have tried to enter again but it is not taking the same key as it is saying this key us already existing with current product.

    EBay ......... that will be your answer, the license is probably fake and therefore cancelled by Bitdefender.


    You need to go back to the seller for a refund.


    Never buy software licenses from anyone other than the official partners/ditributors or from the company website.

    But defender support people said the license key is related to their official Indian partner Venktron and they told me to contact them so that they will resolve.

    It's my first post here so hello to everyone.


    From what I see, there's a lot of people who have such issues with their licenses. I've purchased my one year BitDefender Internet Security license in December 2013 and I saw "your license is invalid" today. I've bought it in one of your official distributors in my country (yes, I've checked this company on your site). I really don't know what they have sold me but I hope it's not 90 days promo license mentioned in this http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=52304 topic. I've sent them email about my issue, I've opened a ticket at Bitdefender support too. I hope that someone will solve my problem or I'll get a refund (if this will going to happen I will have to give back VAT from it to the tax office). To be honest, If I had known what I know now about many BD issues, I would never buy it :/

  • By the way... the funny thing is that when I try to register my product again with my current license key BD says "The license key you have entered is currently used in the product. You cannot register the product twice with the same key." If it's in use then why is this key invalid???

    I bought new bitdefender license for 3PCs 3 weeks ago.I entered the key in 3PCs simultaneously and all of them have worked fine. yesterday,the key on one PC suddenly stop working.the program said the license key you have entered doesn't match with the program.I reinstall the bitdefender IS but the situation didn't change.could you help me to fix this?

    Like the member tmk in the post above yours, you will need to contact Bitdefender Support or send them an email about your problem.


    I am also getting the issue. There are still 174 days to go.

    my bitdefender says "your key is invalid" i send a Message for support yesterday no response so far should i re-install bitdefender ? and enter the key again??

  • In my case is the same. Since yesterday I can see announcement "Your Bitdefender licence is invalid". My license is valid to december 2014. I've tried send message to technical support, but contact form (http://www.bitdefender.com/support/contact-us.html) dosen't work. There is no official announcement...

    Today my BD icon in systray has changed its color to yellow, after a while it's changed its color to white (probably after updating BD) and my license is valid again :) BTW I didn't get any response from support after that and that's sad...

    Y'day I updated the bitdefender. After that the key has become valid again. :unsure: We need explanation from Bitdefender how my key has become valid again. what is the guarntee it wont fail in the future.


    I had complained to the sellers that key is fake and so on. Un necessarily this has caused confusion and tension. So please clarify if I key is valid or not. Otherwise I will lose trust on BD.

    I suggest that license should not be displayed in clear text may be it should be hidden and then user should scrath the surface to see the actual license. I know this is slightly better and not full proof :rolleyes:
