Getting Rid Of Ak.ssl.imgfarm.com/images

My computer has been balky lately. In my history file I see a program -- ak.ssl.imgfarm.com/images -- running every day for several weeks. Bitdefender isn't picking it up. I've removed a couple of suspicious programs, but this hasn't gotten rid of it. Is there a way I can delete this program, which seems to be running in the background? A Google query gives some replies that it is a Trojan Horse. Would running Bitdefender in Windows Safe Mode do the trick?

  • Thanks. I'm pretty sure it was Malware. Wish I had waited for your post. I did a restore on Windows 8 which is nasty compared to Windows 7. It wipes out all non Microsoft aps, and today I am trying to restore them -- iocluding Bitdefender.
