Windows 8.1 Start Screen First Tile Is Always Highlighted

Ever since I installed Bitdefender 2015, I've seen the first tile of my Start Screen highlighted with a white border around it. I've never had this happen before and I highly suspect that the AV caused it.


The same problem was reported in an AnandTech post:

And that user also stated that he recently installed Bitdefender 2015.

    I know that if you create a new user account, the problem goes away on that new account. But that really isn't a solution at all.


    Anyways, I uninstalled the software, and will likely never go back again. Previously, I used ESET and experienced no problems at all.
