Windows Backup Fails

People,


When Bit Defender is running, Windows Backup fails due to a failure of the Volume Shadow Service. The system is win7 SP1 with all updates. The Bit Defender is the freeware anti virus version 2015. And if I disable Bit Defender, the backup completes.


I would have sent this to support but they want a license which the free version does not have


Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hiya,


    If you open the Support Center window and choose the Free version from the first drop down box (It says "Please choose your product" - or something similar) then you are not required to enter any license details.


    I will add that there is no support for the free version, but you may be lucky. :)
