This is what I downloaded a zip file with the following document :

When I try to reach the site, i get no further than the dutch one, there is no way to get to the site above, except .... through a proxy, there I could fill in my email address


and then ........... File not found error 404.


I don't understand, maybe someone can explain what's going on.

    No problems here (India) either.....Didn't know Bitdefender giveaways are location based

    @jithin : it must be location based, since I'm simply redirected to bitdefender.nl that is just commercial and wants me to buy their software, no other possibilities, except the trial version of 30 days which is a big difference.


    @Burgurne : I'm definitely not a robot but there is no way to prove it !

    In order to generate the key, please clear the cache and cookies from the browser, access the link again, enter the desired e-mail address and check the Captcha code.


    An e-mail, containing the steps to activate the subscription and create the Central account should arrive in your inbox immediately.

    I am also from the Netherlands, I guess you too since you got redirected to bitdefender.nl :)


    It worked for me though, just entered my email adres, confirmed that I am not a bot and few seconds later I got the email from Bitdefender.


    Also using MS Edge by the way.


    And that was yesterday October 2nd.


    That doesn't help you, but it was still possible when I did it....

    It was back today on shareware on sale but no avail, it does not work.


    They definitely want me to buy it.


    I still have some days left on the 2015 version, maybe I'll get another chance later on.

    I never trust sites like that, but that is just my personal opinion.


    Edit:


    I tried that one on sharewareforsale with a different email adres, I get the same link I used to get my Bitdefender in an email from sharewareonsale.


    Entered that email adres again and I got the email from Bitdefender...


    I have no idea why it doesn't work for you, sorry.

    Well, I don't know why it's not working.


    My browser is redirecting me to bitdefender.nl, whatever I try.


    It's not a bad site (malware), I even used ADW cleaner to remove eventual bad things, but there were none.


    Tried private browsing : hideme.be = bitdefender.fr


    anype.com = the right site but where the captcha is supposed to be : sorry an error has occured


    I also scanned with malwarebytes but nothing was found. :huh:


    I can conclude that it's not malware causing this, IE and MS Edge are doing the same as Chrome


    and I tried this on 4 computers, 3 with another Internet Security software and one with Bitdefender Internet security 2015.


    I also did what Paul-Robert suggested with all the browsers ...... several times.

    Did you try and clear your DNS cache? That may probably help.


    ipconfig -flushdns
