Bitdefender 2016

I have BitDefender Total Security 2016 installed on 2 PC's both running 64 bit versions of Windows 7.


Both were installed with the same email address (this has already been verified with support) But when I


go to Bitdefender Central, only 1 of the two machines shows up. I've been asking support about this for over


a month, but I get no response.


Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Does anyone have multiple machines that all show up in


BitDefender Central ?

    hello Marc, what was the fix suggested. I had asked this question days ago, and no support personnel bothered to reply in the forum.


    I am also unable to see some of my devices in Central till date.

  • From the BitDefender screen on all machines click Update and wait until finished (I guess to insure you have the latest version)


    Go to BitDefender Central and log off and log back in on each machine using the same sign in on all machines


    Now try BitDefender Central


    For me, it did nothing. But I still have not heard anything from them and I guess that I won't.

    I'm a long term customer (5+ years) of BD on mulitple machine (2 then 3 then 5 and this year 6 Pc's), the move to the subscription process in 2016 is a pain.


    I've renewed my old license ( 5 PC 2 yr) to this new subsciption concept to get it installed on all 5 pc' s, this worked quite ok, but since I now have a 6th PC to protect I bought an additional subscirption for 1 PC 2 yr. as soon I added the activation code in my bitdefender central account ###### happened.


    It now shows I have a subscription for 1 PC for 4 years????? Conclusion 1 PC is protected and the 5 other not.


    Logged a case by phone 2015110316220003 or 1000734058 ( apperently they use different ticket numbers internally as I 've been in contact with them multiple time this week)... no resolution yet, just increasing priority...


    Already on the 3th of November the helpdesk informed me that Bitdefender central can’t handle a second subscription on the same account ( poor design in my view). So a second account has been created for this.


    I’m awaiting more than a week now on a technical resource from Bitdefender who can simple move this second subscription package to the second Bitdefender account, as simply as that.


    So BD please wake up, fix your subscription verification SW, It is unacceptable to me you can't handle in 1 acount mulitple subscriptions for mutiple PC's.....

    This happens because Bitdefender has outsourced the subscription process to Mandrillapp instead of handling by themselves as they have done until and including Bitdefender 2015 security poroducts.

    I am a brand new Bitdefender user. I purchased 4 Antivirus 2016 licenses which should allow me to install on up to 12 PC's. Only 1 subscription shows up in Bitdefender Central. My old antivirus is about to expire and I desperately need to get Bitdefender installed on my PC's.


    I have installed it on 3 PC's and they all show up in Central. I tried installing Bitdefender on a 4th PC to see if that would somehow trigger another subscription to be activated. No such luck. <img class=" />


    I do have an open ticket on this.


    I think this subscription method is terrible. Give me an activation code for each license. I have zero need for Bitdefender Central for managing my antivirus installs...a simple Excel worksheet works fine. As long as the Bitdefender update process verifies that the PC is running a legitmate, activated license, they should have no concerns about piracy (which is what I am guessing is a key reason for going to subscriptions).

    I think Central is a brilliant idea, implemented poorly or a work in progress. Together with Machine Learning Bitdefender actually makes a great product.


    However, the lack of support is appalling. Notice how my comment on the 29th of October in this thread was completely ignored. if there is a problem, acknowledge it and give a timeline for a fix - that's the bare minimum.

    I would like to understand why you feel Central is a brilliant idea. As far as I am concerned it serves one purpose....copy protection.


    Every computer is not always connected to the Internet. How do you do off-line installs? Bitdefender has clearly stated that with the 2016 products, there will be no off-line installs.


    The method used by my previous antivirus software (and apparently previously used by Bitdefender) to have a license/activation key worked just fine. And, it doesn't require the customer to set up an account and then access it for every install.


    I see no benefits to the customer from this subscription service. In fact it makes things more difficult for the customer. And, with all the problems with Central, it seems to be making things more difficult for Technical Support. As I have said in other posts, I think they implemented the subscription service through Bitdefender Central before it was ready for production. They are forcing all of their customers to be participants in testing their software. And, as is clear from all the posts on this forum, they are preventing their customers from using software that they paid for, and their support team is not being responsive to fixing problems. Either support is getting so many support calls that they have a backlog of problems to be fixed or they don't know how to fix the problems. I fear that it is the latter.
