I too think I have been duped. Have six months left to run on my Total Security 2015 but got a mail offering big early renewal or upgrade discounts. Foolishly went for the upgrade tom Family Pack.

When I try to download and install it I am advised ity will not work with Win 10. BitDefenders support says it will and to just download and install it, but when I go to Central it says I have and have not got a subscription to the product and will not let me download it. When I go to my BitDefender it says I do have a subscription.

I have complained to support sending them screenshots of that mentioned above but so far they have failed to reply.

At this stage I would like them to refund my payment for Family Pack and I will continue using Total Security until my subscription expires. Then despite finding BitDefender an excellent programme I will aim to subscribe to another company's product.

Why, because I spent most of my weekend repeatedly uninstalling my old BitDefender product and attempting to install my new purchase without success and the best tech support could offer was their original reply to my original mail seeking assistance. That is NOT customer support people.

    Update,

I originally sought help from support on the 9th November. My complaint about the issue was responded to on the 11th. I replied to that communication and am still waiting for them to respond.

That's now 5 days of problems with the most important programme, after the operating system on my devices.

That is simply not good enough for a security suite. The quality of the product is irrelevant in these circumstances. A lesser but well supported product would be a better option. A poor support system suggests one of two things either the support system is understaffed or is swamped with requests and therefore slow to respond.

Its time for me to explore other protection services.

I hope this has nothing to do with BitDefenders pay us to install your product offer.

    Hi All,

I have now been assured the refund I sought will be credited back to my account within 5/7 business days.

Given what has occurred over the past week I cannot see myself remaining a BitDefender customer beyond my current subscription. A pity realyl as I liked the programme and thought it quite good, but a security programme will only ever be as good as its support system. Its very hard to have faith in a programme when you've lost your faith in its support system.
