New Licence Just Added Time To Old License

I have been a BD customer for years. I have a 3 device license that already has 3 devices activated on it.

Just purchased a new laptop and purchased another license on the "Black Friday Sale." Instead of giving me another device, all the new purchase did was add time to my current license. I can't activate BD on my new laptop so it is currently unprotected.

Spoke to customer service and they told me that they would upgrade my license to a 5 device license in "24-48 hours"; this hasn't happened. I really need to get BD installed and activated on the new laptop; can anyone from BD help?

Thanks

Jap, the same to me. I' ve bought two sets of licenses for 3PC's. Instead of getting possible to install BD IS 2016 on 6 PC's the licenses were merged into the two year period.

The only explanation from support was "You must have separate accounts for every set of licenses" Ridiculous isn't it? How the normal user can get such idea? What the mess they did with this BD Central. <img class=" />

I am now insisting on unmerging teh licenses to use them on my other PC's and hope for success against BD's new politics.

Until BD IS 2015 it was so easy an logical to add licenses to the account but from now on? OMG.

I think it is time say good bye BD and switch to the other solutions available in the digital world.

I know how you feel! If I can't get protection for my new laptop soon I'll be forced to abandon BD and use another Virus protection solution. I've been a loyal BD customer for many years but apparently they are unable or unwilling to help their customers. In the end, it is the customers that make or break any business so I hope they improve. :(

Bitdefener totally messed up licensing. My 3 device BD license turned into a 1 device license by using the free upgrade offer. Support does not respond since 2 days now. I feel cheated and will switch to another av solution after years of bitdefender. I don't get it. Why would any company treat their customers like this?

I've been through a series of emails with Bitdefender support trying to get a licensing problem sorted out too. Can't seem to get it done. Actually, I've been disappointed by Bitdefender support in the past. I used ESET for years. I never had a support problem.

I'm thinking about cancelling my subscription to Bitdefender, notifying my credit card provider and moving back to ESET.
