Bitdefender Taskbar Icon Grayed Out
Total Security 2016
Build 20.0.24.1290
WIN 10 Laptop
My Bitdefender Taskbar Icon is Grayed Out.
Mouse over says to sign in to activate.
I Logon to Bitdefender Central.
(Other 2 devices are WIN 7 and WIN 8.1)
All seems OK on all 3 of my Windows Devices - Green Check marks.
I do click on update for WIN 10 Laptop, and it says update sent.
On my Laptop I do see the update icon turning, but Icon is still gray.
If I restart my Laptop Windows, the Bitdefender Icon does turn red, but reverts to gray in a few seconds.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Hello cthompgh,
It has happened to me also but a reboot normally sorts it out.
Two thoughts, First is that you should make sure you are logged in as the Windows Administrator, and secondly have you run a repair? Start>All Apps>Bitdefender 2016>Uninstall or Repair. Let is complete and reboot your laptop.
If you still have problems, post again.

Hello
I'm having the same problem but it didn't fix when I ran the repair.
I've reinstalled/re-downloaded the software a number of times and it still greys out, I have to fully uninstall the software in order to activate alternative antivirus.
OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
Product: Bitdefender Total Security 2016

Hiya Peter95 and welcome to the forums,
You are running Bitdefender, or at least accessing it, with your Administrator account? You can't change things with a user account.
