Just installed Bitdefender 2016 Total Security, from the official site no less.

I reboot after the installation, wonder why my internet is so slow - check resource monitor but it doesn't show up so likely the connection was established after boot - after 15 minutes of trying to find it i uninstall Bitdefender and the constant download hogging my internet is gone. Mind you with the time that passed and my internet speed (25mbit) it will have equated to a couple of gigabytes of downstream.

Will refund immediately.

  • i have this issue too, after i install BIS 2016 when download with download manager (IDM) and stop it i see whole bandwidth in use when i see the resource monitor i dont see any proccess!

    please fix this issue

    Please make sure you are not running any other security solutions on that machine.

    Also go to Bitdefender > Modules > Firewall and disable the Block Port Scans and tell me if the issue persists, also ensure your Adapters are setup properly.

    every thing is ok but i see this issue yet, yourself test it ... download any file with download manager such as IDM then stop it you see the bandwidth is full still ! i test several time this issue occured after install bitdefender internet secury 2016 ...
