Total Security 2016 For Mac

I had to uninstall bitdefender total security for MAC repeat MAC not PC a month ago, or at least it appeared to be uninstalled. When i went to reeinstall it, Central said it was still installed. However when i pressed the icon on desktop, I got a message that implied it could not find bitdefender. I looked in Find and indeed it was not there. Back to central i tried to do a scan and it said "pending" for a very long time. I restarted and Central still says the same thing. I have tried several times since to dload bitdefender for MAC 2016 without luck. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Please uninstall the Bitdefender Agent Finder > Go > Utilities > double click on BitdefenderUninstaller.app > Confirm the choice.

    Afterwards you can retry the install from Central as it should disappear from there as well.
