Active profile stuck in Game mode after reboot, work and web browsing

No games, no Steam in active processes. Specs: Autopilot ON, Automatic Profiles ON, Real-time optimization ON - Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2017 build 21.0.23.1101, windows 7 SP1 64bit (up-to-date). I also used the Bitdefender support tool to report this issue.

    I found an artisanal fix "lasa ca merge si asa" by complete uninstalling and reinstalling the BDAP 2017 and the permanently automatic game mode profile disappeared.

    Glad to hear the issue has been resolved.


    Most likely the product just needed a refresh.


  • The bitdefender support found the culprit: Intel® Driver Update Utility v2.6.2.4, respectively esrv_svc.exe found in "C:\Program Files\Intel\SUR\QUEENCREEK\" - I simply uninstalled this application.
