bitdefender security service has encountered critical error

I have been getting this error a few times today


'bitdefender security service has encountered critical error'


It restarts successfully though but I'm not sure what caused it :S


Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2017


Windows 7 64 bit


If I get the error again I'll post an image. I can't find any record in the log/notification thingie

Also I was browsing IE11 and then an error came up on the browser:


Fix Connection Problems.


Then the Bitdefender errror happened


No issues with this previously just today

    I'm having this problem as well.  It's shown up five or six times consecutively now.

    im getting the critical error when i go to Teamcoco.com. their site must be compromised. 


     


    Edit: this happent 15 minutes ago everytime i tried going to that site but now it seems ok

    Same thing is happening to me and also to my wife (Windows 10).


    Internet Security 2017 is crashing continuously for 3 hours now, even after repairing it.


    I think there is an issue with their last update!


    PS : I am using Chrome and my wife Firefox


    the crash happens whatever the site I'm surfing on.


  • Same problem here, started today when using Chrome. I'm using Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2017 under Windows 10 Family 64 bits.

    I send a bug report and restart it, then it crashes again.


  • I've had it crash / submit bug report / restart and repeat no less than a dozen times now...

    Same issue. Been banging my head trying to get this fixed with support. Tried uninstall tool, reinstalling no success. Decided to use Microsoft Defender however real-time protection won't turn on because Bitdefender uninstall tool can't get rid of everything...

    Same problem for me. It's always funny when an antivirus, that should protect your PC, is the one to gives you problem :D

  • I have already tried many times to enter a ticket but the form (english or french version) does not work for me.


    Nothing happens when I click to "send"!


  • I rebooted the pc and updated BD 10 min ago.


    Since then I haven't got any crash. Let's cross the fingers.

    After few days without problems the crashing happened again. :(


    P.S. Program updated itself few hours ago (Total Security 2017, Win 7 x64).

    Same happening to me all day (6 Mar 2017).  gave up on bitdefender installed new service (not as good but need something that actually works).  I have uninstalled, reinstalled up dated etc ... no fix to their poor buggy programming.  Really not impressed. 


     


  • Confirmed. Bitdefender is bugged again. Crashed for me, as well.


    Do they test updates? What unprofessional....

  • Windows 7 64 bit, Bitdefender 2017 installed two days ago


    Error occurs multiple times per session on the computer.


    It is IMPOSSIBLE to register an email report as the page leads you in a loop.  Tested on three browsers.


    After contact with "chat" they have filed a report on the email report issue. Solution to the email report was use Firefox, which did not work.


    Their solution to the Error problem was repair.  In other words turn it off and turn it back on and a miracle will occur. Yeah right !


    Clearly they have problems which they do not have the resources to handle or maybe even recognise.

    Have had the same problem last two days. Have done everything recommended and still the problem comes and goes. Now it has been good the last 4 hours or so, but we see if lasts. 


     


    Contacted the support via support ticket and sent the log and screenshot.


     


    Would be nice if some official response would be provided by BD staff.

    Yea it's absolutely ridiculous all these reported problems and not a peep out of support acknowledging this problem, Where is Sorin G? where is support?
