In my event log I have a System Event Log entry #7016 - The message 'Invalid Current State 0'. This event appears on every boot up of Windows 7. My Bitdefender version is 21.0.18.898. I wish there was a way to get new releases without going through the uninstall/re-install process. Can anyone help me understand the error message and how to resolve it ?

  • Hello.

Just installed bitdefender total security 2017. I used total security 2016 before it. And after installation i saw this message in my windows 7 Event Viewer journal - "Bitdefender Virus Shield Service Has Reported An Invalid Current State 0". This message logs every time i turn on my pc. There was no such messages, when i used total security 2016.

Before install total security 2017 i used Bitdefender_2016_UninstallTool.exe for uninstalling total security 2016.

I have windows 7 x64 ultimate and total security 2017 with latest update.

Please, can u help me with this issue?

So Bitdefender, if there is a solution, please react.

I have the same problem on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate Sp1. This is very disturbing to work. An error message appears when the computer is turned on and when turned off. As the computer is turned on and off as well as restart happen for a very long time.

  • Hello,

The thread will be updated when a fix is available.

Rest assured that it does not compromise the security of your machine or Bitdefender's efficiency to keep it protected.

  • I have the same problem on Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium SP1 but with 2 consecutive events!!
