a question about Ransomware Protection ?

I have 2 question about Ransomware Protection included in bitdefender total security 2017


 


1-can Ransomware Protection also protect against the new improved edition called wannacry ?


2-if I enable it (Ransomware Protection) and add a lot of folder like pictures folder my steam folder (where my games installed ) video folders etc


will affect my pc performance ,boot time ,etc


will it ask me a password every time I need to access that folder ?

    If you regularly update Windows, and Bitdefender db. you should be fine.

    What version of Bitdefender ts you have?

    Also which OS? If Win 10 which build?

    Ransomware protection will not ask for any password when accessing those files.


    The ransomware protection is designed to protect important files from outside modifications, it may block your games from saving if they are not properly signed.
