Problems installing on Windows 7

I'm trying to do a fresh install of Internet Security on a Windows 7 64 bit.  It won't let me complete it claiming my system is 32 bit, which it is not.  So I'm kinda at a loss on where to go from here.  Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

How about using a program like AIDA64, then copying and pasting your system specs? Just so....then we can help....btw i advise u do an upgrade to win 10, as long it is possible for doing it for free. coz win7 M$ will not support much longer....in the near future. Win 10 is not soooooooo bad as all tell it. I use the fall update and it flows like a charme.

see? where is the 64bit on it? Let me guess something. u have a 64bit prozzi but u installed the wrong windows, u installed the 32bit? Dude, my advise: install the windows 10 fall creators update 64bit PRO. I use that too and i can only say this Windows 10 rocks.

yepp i compared to mine. you are using right now windows 7 32bit. Sorry but is so. With a relatively good 64bit processor. This is wrong, so upgrade now to windows 10 professional 64bit, this is what i would do.

  • I go under my properties and it says 64 bit.  My Belarc stats 64 bit.  I'm using the same OS that came with the laptop. I just chatted and verified with HP supprt that it did originally ship with 64 bit.

I got the situation resolved.  Thanks for your insight.
