Activation and Validity of License

Just wondering if I buy a license today, how long do I have to activate it?

    The key itself doesn't have an expiry date.


    It will only start counting down the moment you add it to a Central account.

    So if you never install/activate the license, it won't count against the one year from the date of purchase? That seems confusing, let me try again. I have purchased the Bitdefender Internet Security 2018 but have not installed it. Does this mean that I will have one year from the date of installation/activation but I could wait and not lose time from the one year license ?

    Yes, if you do not add the license key to a Central account it will not start counting down.


    Please note that promotional keys do have an expiry date.
