Stuck at Preparing Bitdefender
Bitdefender has downloaded but it's stuck at Preparing Bitdefender for some time now and I only have windows defender installed now since i uninstalled my last antivirus program any tips? And my subscription is Total Security 2018 according to Bitdefender Central

Welcome to the Bitdefender Forums. The installation of Bitdefender can take some time, hours in fact on some computers with slow internet.
The other possibility is that your previous anti-virus solution is not totally removed. Bitdefender is very territorial about being the only third-party anti-virus application on a computer, although normally it will flash up a warning that it is aborting the install because the BD installer found remnants of another anti-virus program. Bitdefender does not care about Windows Defender. It just modifies it automatically.
What did you previously have installed as an anti-virus program, and did you run their "clean" program, followed by a reboot? Some anti-virus applications can be very difficult to remove entirely.

Hi,
I have the same problem. Installation stuck on preparation (see attached screen).
After about 12 hours nothing changed (still the same screen).
I found offline installers here: https://www.pcmobitech.com/download-install-bitdefender-offline/
Version 2017 has been installed without any problems but the update to v2018 bring the same "preparing..." screen.
Version 2018 doesn't even start. After clicking on installation file nothing happens.
Any different between installation of 2017 and 2018? Can stopped windows services (win10) cause this problem?
