How secure is the File Vault feature?
I'm considering putting my sensitive information (bank statements, scans of passports, etc.) in a File Vault as offered by Total Security 2019. How secure is this? What encryption does this use?

The file vault uses AES-256bits encryption0 -
G'day folks, I just typed in "File Vault" in the search bar & this is about the only topic I could find for it so bear with me.
I was just wondering if there is any support/help for creating a File Vault such as a video or something. I created one but I can still see the files in the vault in Explorer, even if it's locked. I'm not sure I did it right but I would of thought all files in the File Vault would be unable to be previewed etc.
Also, if you want to delete a File Vault, how do you do it? Use File Shredder?

Hi,
If you've noticed, when the vault is open it creates a new "Disk" , generally with the letter Y or Z. This disk should be unmounted when you lock the vault, making it so that you can no longer see the files that are in the vault.
To lock a vault, right click on the mounted disk and choose Bitdefender > Bitdefender File Vault > Lock . A new prompt will appear indicating the file vault is in use and that all Explorer windows need to be closed , choose OK and the vault will be locked.
If something different happens from what I describe when you try to lock the vault, please let me know.
