Parental Control blocking my son from using Google Drive

So I have parental controls set up mostly just to monitor my sons activity during the day now that we are home schooling. Today Bit defender decided to block him from using google drive so he is unable to download pictures from a shared textbook. When i look through my account under parental controls it says that there are 0 apps being blocked, not sure what the problem is?🤔

  • I am having the exact same problem even after adding a whitelist address for https://drive.google.com. Is it possible to tell us what content category is blocking google drive?

  • Hello @Tadz @Polsoncs

The reason may be you have enabled ‘File Sharing’ section under web blocking category. In that case, your child won’t be able to visit file sharing web sites like google drive. Another reason can be it might have detected any blocked keywords in the google drive.

As you mentioned in your comment, “0 apps being blocked”, is bitdefender blocking the google drive desktop application or blocking the site when your child try visiting drive.google.com?

    Also try the following:

    1. Visit central.bitdefender.com and Login
    2. Click on Parental control tab
    3. Select the child profile details
    4. Select website tab and make sure the ‘File sharing’ and other needed categories are not marked as blocked (see below screenshot)

If the response helps, please click on Agree button.

    Thanks and regards,
