login button does not work
Hi,
I have a new windows 10 computer. Installed bitdefender free. Software then ask me to login, but when I click on the login button nothing happens. It's just stuck at this screen please see attachment.
Just in case anyone ask this is a new computer with no firewall. Basically nothing installed on it.

What I can assume is that when You click on sign into bitdefender, the sign in box does not open. Well, this is weird and unlikely to happen.
The basic step in this case would be to uninstall & reinstall the product (but this would be a hit & trial method, no guarantee that this method will solve your issue)

Hey,
This usually happens when there are errors in the operating system:
1. Run a Windows check disk. In order to do that, please follow the steps from this link:

Let the process run and wait for the computer to restart.
2. Please also run the DISM command. The steps to perform this operation are in this article ("Option One" in the article):

3. Then please use the System File checker:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
After the process is finished, please reboot the computer.
Now restart the system.
4. Ensure that Windows is up to date:

HI Alex D, thanks for the suggestions. I tried it and it did not fix my issue. I reinstall windows 10 and tried again but it did not work either. Such a weird issue.

Same problem here. Just installed BD on 3 computers, one brand new, all running current Win10, login button doesn't work.

Same for me. Sign in button doesn't work. Until there is a solution for this I will use another antivirus like Avast. Good thing I didn't brought Bitdefender.

Just login via your Internet browser and install your current device(PC) on the account via the account panel.
Your antivirus will auto-detect your login after a minute.

First of all currently there is no uninstaller for bitdefender free version & bitdefender support do not entertain free version request via email and revert the users to forum instaed.
Kindly perform below steps & see if this helps you in anyway.
1) Kindly uninstall bitdefender product & bitdefender agent via dd/ remove programs.
2) Restart PC in safe mode (https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode)
3) As soon as desktop opens, assuming your windows drive is C, open below things in run (windows icon + R) command one by one :
C:\Program Files (delete any folder with name bitdefender)
C:\Program Files (x86) (delete any folder with name bitdefender)
C:\ProgramData (delete any folder with name bitdefender)
C:\Users\{your pc name}\AppData\Local (delete any folder with name bitdefender)
4) Open run command again and run below command one by one :
temp ,delete all the files in the folder
%temp% ,delete all the files in folder
prefetch ,delete all the files in folder
5) Restart your PC in general mode by unticking the option that you selected to run the system in safe mode and then click apply.
6) Reinstall bitdefender

Hi,
check your bitdefender central account if you have reached 25 devices for Bitdefender Antivirus Free, because we have 25 devices limit.
If you indeed reached 25 units, reinstall Bitdefender Antivirus Free and sign up for new account, then try to sign in. Your issue will be solved by then.
