Bank login problem

Umpqua Bank will request a secret pin code if you attempt to log in on an unrecognized device. After entering the pin code it will allow you to log in. From then on, if you log off and then log on again, the pin code is not required. However, once you shut down Chrome and then restart it again, now you will be required to enter a new pin #. We have it set to allow cookies, to not delete cookies. I cannot find any other setting that looks like it might cause this behavior.

This is not a Chrome problem - the problem also happens in Firefox as well as Edge... as long as the browser remains open, you can log off, log on, no pin # required except for the first login. Close down the browser, and next time in, you need a pin # entered again. Quite tedious as they have to text you a pin # before you can proceed.

Only thing we can think of is that now we are running BitDefender. Previously, we used Avast and did not have this problem.

Ideas?
