I installed on two devices but at BitCentral it only lists one.

So bought bitdefender for a year subscription for three devices. So far I installed on 2 desktop computer. Weirdly, at BitCentral it only lists one. Supposedly it should be 2 devices which left me one devices. I am using the same ID anc account. I tried to refresh but still it shown only 1 devices. This is very confusing. I dont want to go to the hassle, unistalling and installing cause its just so much work and a bit redundant.

Can any bitdefender expert help? pretty please?

  • I have the same issue.

2 devices are obviously protected, both say: "You are safe. We`re looking out for your device and data".

In the Bitdefender Central account, where "My Devices" are listed, there is standing in big green letters: "PROTECTED"

only under one of them... !

    SO WHY IS THAT ?

AND DOES ANYONE FROM BITDEFENDER COMMENT THIS, I WONDER ...

  • Hi @meet , yep, we're on it :)

    cheers,

  • Is there an update on this? It is an issue for my company as well. I effectively can't use BitDefender to determine whether our employees are installing, running and updating their BitDefender installations.

  • Hi @macb ,

No there isn't, unfortunately. Bitdefender CENTRAL identifies each device by its mac adress, it was designed like that. What Apple has been doing to its OS / devices brings "privacy" , but impedes the functionality of Bitdefender's device management platform as now CENTRAL is unable to identify by MAC.

Dev team is working on a solution and I will keep the Expert Community updated on this.

    Stay safe,

    Mike
