Premium VPN subscription expired even though I bought it twice !!

Hi all. As per title, I have bought premium vpn after it expired and credit card details needed to be updated. So while dashboard shows that I have 363 days remaining, every time I turn on VPN and try to connect it shows "Your Bitdefender Premium VPN subscription has expired". On Bitdefender Central it shows that I have Premium VPN activated.

In the meantime I contacted support for refund (no reply) and bought a new copy. However same issue persists.

I have uninstalled/installed the VPN numerous times yet no joy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Using Windows 11.

    First, check if Bitdefender VPN is connected to the Central account where the Premium VPN subscription is active.

    Does this happen from all devices or just particular devices?

    In the VPN interface, click on My Account and then select switch account and login using the registered e-mail address.

    The VPN appears valid until 2023/01/24 and currently the devices AC2003 and LAPTOP-67UN1DG3 are using it.

    Regarding the Support case, the commercial representatives will provide a response shortly.

  • Hi Alexandru. Thank you for your interest in my query. I have been in contact with a very helpful rep from BD. The issue happens on all devices. Switch account and other options were investigated. I have been asked to submit a log, which has been done. I really need a VPN and cannot wait to get this fixed.

  • Hello, I have a similar problem. I just purchased VPN Premium, and then after activating it, I proceeded to use it on my laptop, iPhone and iPad. All devices properly included in the same BitDefender account.

    After connecting all my devices correctly, and using it without problems on my laptop, suddenly the VPN connection stopped and the same messages as the one screenshot by the other user showed up. Basically, it tells me the "Your Bitdefender Premium VPN subscription has expired" (despite just purchasing it for 1 year).

    Please, help me solve this issue. This is only happening on my laptop so far, not on my other devices.


  • Also, I get THIS error when I try (re-) activating the VPN Premium using the code.

    In my case the problem was with Bitdefender. The issue was on their side and not mine. Write to them and hopefully your case will be resolved in around 4 days (as in my case).
