Password Manager Feedback: Desktop app

I just purchased 2 years of Bitdefender Total Security, swapping over from Kaspersky Total Security. And I must say I'm pretty disappointed in the password manager (Not wallet I get they are "different"). There is not that much of a difference between the wallet and password manager that I have found other than there is an app for your phone for the Password Manager. This is something that I'm looking for as well as a desktop app that would sync across all platforms.

I am a gamer and have 8+ launchers and don't want to open a browser and dig to get my passwords. It would also make managing a lot easier than having a small drop-down in the browser. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to favorite accounts and passwords so they are more convenient to access. Just a few things I've noticed. Hope you consider this feedback when making future changes.

  • Found favorites when using the android app under the edit account because it was the only way I could see the password so I could type it in on another computer. App just opens up the browser or copies the password unless you dig for it and you have to scroll down to find it on the browser extension.

  • I too switched over from Kaspersky and miss the desktop application that in some scenarios is more convenient and more practical than the browser-only integration. I hope you will add a desktop version in the future!

My thought is that it would be nice to totally replace the Wallet module with Password Manager within the BD app itself (Kaspersky Total Security), and not have the 2 different versions (stand alone and integrated) of password managers. That we could edit, enter, change settings, have a secure vault, etc in the bigger area of the Bitdefender app, more room to work with, and have it sync with the browser PM like Wallet does now with the Wallet browser extension. BD could still sell PM as a stand alone (desktop) app as well. That may be a technical nightmare to do though, "swap out," as they both are differing software coding, configurations?

That may increase the price of the security solutions, as Password Manager is a better app. let alone the cost involved and the technology in developing it. Yet, BD is always offering such good deals on their security software, that I wouldn't mind a $5.00 increase to cover that cost.
